About Us
Big Bob’s Pizza & Pasta is more than a restaurant — it’s a family tradition built on hard work, pride, and a genuine love of great pizza.
Located in the Gore Plaza off Highway 15, Big Bob’s is owned and operated by the Braz family, a Kingston-area family whose passion for food and community runs deep. From day one, their goal has been simple: make incredible pizza using high-quality ingredients, careful attention to detail, and recipes inspired by generations of family cooking.
Bob and Leanne Braz were married in October 1999 at St. George’s Cathedral. After years of working together in family businesses, they made the decision to open Big Bob’s alongside their sons, Tyler and Ryan. The restaurant was named by Tyler in honour of his father — a name that reflects both family pride and the heart behind everything they do.
Pizza making is truly a family affair at Big Bob’s. Tyler and Ryan are hands-on in the kitchen, carrying forward techniques and recipes rooted in the Braz family’s Portuguese and Canadian heritage. Food isn’t just made here — it’s crafted with care, patience, and respect for tradition.
While the restaurant keeps the family busy, their connection to the Kingston community remains at the core of Big Bob’s. Since opening, the support, kind words, and enthusiastic feedback from customers have been overwhelming. Hearing from guests who take the time to call back or share how much they enjoyed their pizza is what makes all the long hours worthwhile.
Big Bob’s Pizza & Pasta is proudly family-run, community-focused, and fueled by passion. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick slice or sitting down for a meal, you’re always welcome here.
Come by, grab a slice, and meet the family behind the pizza.
